THE ROCK

HoboForge Survival Annual Skills Event

November | Cameron, North Carolina

Where Fellowship Meets Skill. Where Knowledge Lives On.

There are survival classes...

And then there is The Rock.

The Rock isn't a competition. It isn't a conference. It isn't a weekend where people simply watch demonstrations and head home.

It is a gathering of like-minded men and women who believe that traditional skills, mentorship, and community are worth preserving.

For one unforgettable weekend each November, instructors, craftsmen, hunters, military veterans, outdoorsmen, blacksmiths, primitive skills practitioners, and complete beginners come together around the campfire to share what they know and learn from one another.

No egos.

No spectators.

Just people willing to teach... and people willing to learn.

Throughout the weekend you'll have the opportunity to experience hands-on instruction in a wide variety of wilderness and traditional skills including:

  • Primitive fire making
  • Bow drill and friction fire
  • Flint & steel firecraft
  • Wilderness cooking
  • Survival shelters
  • Bushcraft
  • Primitive hunting skills
  • Atlatl throwing
  • Rabbit stick instruction
  • Blacksmithing
  • Knife and tool discussions
  • Cordage and natural materials
  • Navigation
  • Campcraft
  • Primitive living skills
  • Open instructor demonstrations
  • Evening fellowship around the fire
  • And countless skills shared organically by attendees.

One of the greatest aspects of The Rock is that everyone brings something unique to the tribe.

You may spend the morning learning how to start a fire with nothing more than natural materials...

Then spend the afternoon forging steel, cooking over an open fire, discussing wilderness medicine, or learning a skill that someone has practiced for decades.

There is no rigid classroom.

The woods become the classroom.

The fire becomes the meeting place.

The people become the instructors.

Whether you're just beginning your survival journey or you've spent a lifetime in the outdoors, you'll leave with new friendships, new skills, and a renewed appreciation for the timeless knowledge that refuses to die.

As the sun sets each evening, everyone gathers around the fire to swap stories, solve problems, laugh, teach, and continue one of mankind's oldest traditions—passing knowledge from one generation to the next.

This is more than an event.

It's a tribe.

It's mentorship.

It's fellowship.

It's preserving the skills that made our ancestors successful while forging better humans for tomorrow.

If you've been looking for your people...

Welcome to The Rock.

Forge Better Humans.
