RED DAWN — MICARTA MONDAY | ONE OF ONE
WOLVERINES!
There are knives that come off an assembly line by the thousands.
And then there are knives forged one at a time.
The Red Dawn Micarta Monday blade started as raw 5160 high-carbon steel and was hand-forged by HoboForge Survival into a hard-use field knife inspired by one of the most iconic survival films of the 1980s.
This isn't a knife assembled from outsourced parts.
Fire. Hammer. Anvil. Steel.
Every hammer blow, every grind, every detail of the handle, every step of the heat treatment and every pass of the final edge represents time at the forge and years of experience behind the hammer.
That's important when you're asking why a handmade knife costs what it does.
You're not paying for 11 inches of steel.
You're paying for the craftsman's hands that turned that steel into something worth owning.
You're paying for a blade that wasn't stamped out by a machine or pulled from a warehouse shelf. You're paying for the hours spent forging, grinding, heat treating, fitting, finishing and sharpening one knife at a time.
And you're paying for something increasingly difficult to find:
Something made by one man, with his own hands, that nobody else will own.
The Red Dawn is forged from tough 5160 high-carbon steel, measures 11" overall with a 5 3/4" blade, and comes in at 10.2 oz—a substantial, capable field knife that was built to work, not sit behind glass.
And the craftsmanship doesn't stop with the blade.
Included with the Red Dawn is a custom handmade leather belt sheath built specifically for this knife, completing a package made the way things used to be made—one piece at a time, by craftsmen who give a damn about what leaves their shop.
Micarta Monday isn't a production line.
It's an opportunity to own the only one.
When the Red Dawn sells, there isn't another one sitting in a box.
There isn't another batch coming next week.
There is ONE.
Someone will own the Red Dawn.
Everyone else will remember seeing it.
